Job description
Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the restaurant and bar, coordinating service setup for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events, and acting as a host to our clients guests.
Responsibilities:
- To oversee all aspects of service in the dining room, ensuring guests receive attentive, professional, and personalized service.
- To lead by example, demonstrating the highest standards of hospitality and etiquette.
- To manage guest expectations and address any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- To lead, motivate, and train a team of wait staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- To delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing coaching to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Schedule staff and ensure proper staffing levels to meet guest needs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the menu, wine list, and beverage offerings, providing recommendations to guests.
- Ensure smooth service flow, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff for timely and accurate orders.
- To maintain the upkeep and presentation of the dining room to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Contribute to the development of new service initiatives to enhance the guest experience.
- To maintain inventory of tableware, glassware, and dining room supplies.
- To ensure proper stock levels and place timely orders for necessary supplies.
- To minimum of 3 years' experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of fine dining service etiquette and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional product knowledge of food, wine, and beverages.
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and elegant dining environment.
- Positive attitude with a passion for exceeding guest expectations.
