Job description
The mirrors are cleaned per specifications to maximize sun energy reflection to produce optimal electricity.
Duties;
- To inspect all functions of the Mirror Cleaning-Truck to ensure it is both functional and safe for the task in hand, e.g. test crane, sprayers and brushes, etc.
- To perform risk assessment inspection as informed by SS and sign -off.
- To move to allocated Field of Mirrors and confirm with the Control Room Operator that the Mirrors are in working order and safe and locked.
- At the start of the designated row of Mirrors, position the Mirror-Cleaning Truck and begin driving at a steady 2kph maintaining a straight line to ensure that there is continually a constant required distance between the Truck and the Mirrors as indicated on the control panel in the cab of the truck.
- At the end of each shift, return the Truck to the designated parking area and complete the shift report and hand over the Truck to the Shift Supervisor.
- Safety do not touch the HCF pipes, driving over canals
- If inclement weather conditions arise, then the washing operation is aborted and the Operator returns to the Control Room until the weather conditions improve
Skills
- Must have knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste.
- Must have knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used at the plant.
- Must have knowledge of PPE and safety equipment.
- Must have knowledge of First Aid Measures.
